The Killers Get In The Christmas Spirit

The Killers may be on hiatus, but they will still be releasing their annual Christmas song. “Boots” drops digitally on November 30, with proceeds going to AIDS charity (RED). The Las Vegas band’s Christmas series has included memorable tracks such as “A Great Big Sled” and “Don’t Shoot Me Santa.”

“Our Christmas single with (RED) is one of our traditions as a band. We didn’t want to let it fall by the wayside just because we’re on hiatus; this cause is too important,” said frontman Brandon Flowers.

A video will follow on December 1. Starbucks, another (RED) sponsor, will donate five cents for every view to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa.

Brandon Flowers is currently finishing up a tour in support of his solo LP Flamingo, out now on Island.
