Videos by American Songwriter

The countdown to the next album from reclusive artist Amy Winehouse continues. Winehouse plaid Brazil’s Summer Soul Festival this weekend, where, despite rumors that she might, she failed to unveil any new material. However, she did bust out two covers that, according to reports, may appear on her third album, expected sometime this year.

Watch Winehouse cover “I’m on the Outside Looking In,” a 1964 hit from Little Anthony and the Imperials, and “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” from the 1934 version of Moulin Rouge, below. Do you think these should be on the next record? Let us know.

  1. Anything amy does I will buy..People need to focus on her MUSIC than anything else. And as a musician, singer, songwriter there is NO ONE even remotely close to her. I loved back to black and anything she does. I buy anything she does…No one has a voice like that…No ONE!!!!! Just close your eyes and listen. She can sing the alphabet.

  2. Knock out performance of “I’m On The Outside Lookin’ In”…definitely put them on the next album!!!!!!!!!!!!! She’s a whiz kid.
