Okay, followers of Fleet Foxes. Here’s your third clue into what their highly-anticipated sophomore album, Helplessness Blues, will sound like.
In this brand new video for the Blues track “Grown Ocean,” the Seattle folkies are seen recording the song in the studio, staring out windows, wearing sweaters, and looking photogenic in a vaguely 1980s sort of way. Elegant backing vocals, swelling strings and crashing drums propel “Grown Ocean” forward, creating a wave of joy that will overwhelm your headphones and make you want to go outside and smell some flowers.
Check out the new clip below. Helplessness Blues is due May 3 from Sub Pop/Bella Union.
