Breedlove And Two Old Hippies Announce Summer Festival

It’s festival season again, and this year the guitar makers Breedlove and Two Old Hippies (Bedell Guitars, Great Divide Guitars) are partnering for a guitar-centric festival to be held in Bend, Oregon, on July 16, 2011.

On the bill are guitar pickers like The California Guitar Trio, Friday’s Child, Off In the Woods, Bill Keale, Franchot Tone, Hilst & Coffey, Betty and the Boy, Quincy Street Band, and Joshua Craig Podolsky.

The annual festival is on-site at Breedlove’s headquarters in Bend, so during the festival fans can check out the facilities on factory tours. The festival organizers also have talent competitions planned, with more details forthcoming.

Perhaps the coolest thing of all about the festival is a unique clinic Breedlove and 2OH have organized with the legendary producer Bob Johnston, who worked as an staff producer at Columbia Records and made a significant impact in the early careers of Simon and Garfunkel, and, of course, Bob Dylan (“Is it rolling, Bob?”).
