Videos by American Songwriter

This week, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon is celebrating Bob Marley Week to mark the 30th anniversary of the reggae legend’s passing.

Lauryn Hill and Lenny Kravitz will be stopping by, and Ziggy Marley, and Chris Cornell have already made appearances, singing “Get Up, Stand Up” and “Redemption Song.”

Last night Jakob Dylan, the son of another famous Bob, got on board, performing “I Shot The Sheriff” with The Roots on back up. Jennifer Hudson was there as well, to sing “No Woman, No Cry.” Watch the husky-voiced singer get down on this 1970’s classic, and check out the other performances here.

  1. It’s so fun to see JD stretch out . . . loved the groove, the flowy back-up singers . . . just the mix of the straightforward, honest storyteller vibe with the whole reggae atmosphere let me see both worlds with a fresh lens.
