Songs You Need To Hear: Ange Boxall, “Electric Blue”

Videos by American Songwriter

Ange Boxall hails from Tasmania, but that doesn’t mean all her songs are about Bugs Bunny. Boxall recently touched down in the United States to promote her excellent new album, Writing Letters, which finds her collaborating with Americana ringleader Jim Lauderdale and JD Souther, who’s penned hits for The Eagles and Linda Ronstadt.

If you’re in the vicinity of Nashville, you can check out tomorrow night’s Music City Roots show featuring the best of country and roots music from Down Under — Boxall will perform a set that night, and Lauderdale will join her onstage for a song or two. You can also stream the show online here.

Check out “Electric Blue,” a romantic track from Writing Letters, below.
