This Friday, December 2nd, singer-songwriter Anya Marina will be joining us for an American Songwriter Twitterview at 3 pm CST. Marina’s song “Satellite Heart” was one of the highlights of the New Moon soundtrack. Her latest EP, Spirit School, captures her winning folk-pop sound, and documents the “time when I got out of my own way as a writer.”
With the long-awaited release of her second album, “Felony Flats” is due out Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2012. Including songs like “Notice Me” and “You Are Invisible”, this self-produced album will feature the musical additions of drummer Joe Plummer of Modest Mouse and Mister Heavenly, bassist Jeff Bond, guitarist Cody Votolato of Blood Brothers and Telekinesis, and the piano and guitar contributions of Eric Earley of Blitzen Trappers.
Got a question for Anya Marina? To take part in the Twitterview, just log onto Twitter and follow American Songwriter @Amersongwriter and Anya Marina @anyamarina. Then submit your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org or @AmerSongwriter. Make sure to include your Twitter username/handle.
Be sure to have your entries in by Thursday, December 1st, at 5 pm. Those who participate will be eligible to win an American Songwriter gift pack, which includes an awesome American Songwriter T-shirt.
