British Americana kings Mumford & Sons announced they’ll play at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium for three consecutive nights on March 6th, 7th, and 8th. Tickets go on sale Saturday.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have been added to the lineup at the Grammys, and Jack Black and Ringo Starr have been added as presenters. The show airs live on CBS Feb. 12, 8 EST.
Springsteen will also play at New York’s famed Apollo Theater on March 9. Sirius XM will air the concert live on their E Street Radio channel, channel 20.
Bright Eyes frontman Conor Oberst is releasing his new album One of My Kind May 15, a collection of outtakes (including Bob Dylan’s “Corrina, Corrina” and Paul Simon’s “Kodachrome”) recorded with The Mystic Valley Band. The album, on presale will also include the documentary One of My Kind: The Story of the Mystic Valley Band.

Singer-songwriter Ryan Montbleau has announced he will release a new album For Higher on May 5. The record was produced by Galatctic’s Brian Ellman, and features Ivan Neville, Meters bassist George Porter, Jr., and other storied New Orleans musicians.
NBC’s latest 30 Rock webisode features Ryan Adams, Michael McDonald, Cee Lo Green and rapper Childish Gambino all auditioning for the chance to perform at the Superbowl. The catch is, they have just three songs to choose from, and they’re all NBC theme songs.

The music-tagging iPhone app Shazam will allow its users to tag some music used in broadcasts Superbowl Sunday. Some of those tags will open up sweepstakes, secret offers, and exclusive content for users.
Canadian rapper K’Naan has threatened to sue the Mitt Romney campaign for playing K’Naan’s song “Wavin’ Flag” at Romney’s victory speech after winning the Florida primary. Romney’s campaign says it was used under a blanket licensing agreement.
