2012 CMA New Artist of the Year nominee and Martin Guitar Ambassador Hunter Hayes will help choose the winner of American Songwriter’s “The Pub Deal”contest.
“I signed my publishing deal with UMPG almost two years before signing with Atlantic Records,” says Hayes. “I believe it was the first major turning point in my career, giving me access to people like Cyndi Forman who could work with me on a daily basis to nurture my songwriting chops and set up co-writes with some of the best writers in the world. It’s an honor to play even a small part in helping someone find this kind of opportunity.”
Songwriters of all levels are encouraged to submit their three best songs for consideration. The winner receives a $20,000 publishing contract with HoriPro Entertainment Group, Inc. which represents Dean Dillon, Phil O’Donnell and catalogs as diverse as George Strait and Kiss.
