Video Premiere: JD And The Straight Shot, “Voodoo Stew”

Videos by American Songwriter

Check out the live video for “Voodoo Stew,” from blues-rockers JD and the Straight Shot. The video comes from the band’s recent performance at The Paramount in Long Island.

The band is fronted by James Dolan, a man with an impressive day job – he’s the President and CEO of Cablevision and Executive Chairman of Madison Square Garden. Members of The Straight Shot have played with Bob Dylan, Levon Helm, Norah Jones, and B.B. King.

“The song is a recipe on how to make a girl or guy succumb to a seduction,” Dolan tells American Songwriter. “A little like ‘Love Potion #9’ but with a Cajun twist.”

You can find it on Midnight Run, their latest album, available on iTunes.
