Rising New York City singer-songwriter Loren Benjamin has a great support team. His manager is Theo Roos, the former CEO of Universal Music Netherlands, and drummer Steve Jordan (Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, John Mayer) is producing his debut album.
Check out “Live & Die,” a track from his promising, self-titled EP.
“When I wrote the song the words of the chorus just came out: ‘Live & Die, What Are We Doing With Our Life,'” says the 23-year old artist. “The music felt very anthemic to me, so it needed something with a big meaning. You can’t go much bigger than ‘Live & Die.’ We also get great reactions on the song during our concerts in New York. I am very happy that producer Steve Jordan also loved the song and it will be a key song in the album I am recording with him. This acoustic version was recorded with my trio in my own studio and is part of a 6-song EP which we prepared to bring along during our first tours in the Northeast.”
