Clapton’s Unplugged Set For Re-Release

Unplugged: Expanded and Remastered
Eric Clapton’s Unplugged, which earned six Grammy awards and sold more than 19 million copies worldwide, is set to be re-released this fall by Reprise Records in a CD/DVD set titled Unplugged: Expanded and Remastered.

The two-disc release will feature all 14 of the performances on the original Unplugged, plus several new tracks, including an alternate take of “Walkin’ Blues,” a cover of “Big Maceo” Merriweather’s “Worried Life Blues,” and early versions of “My Father’s Eyes” and “Circus.”

In addition to a newly restored version of the original broadcast of Unplugged, aired on MTV in 1992, the DVD will include more than an hour of previously unreleased pre-show rehearsal footage of the band running through 14 songs. Two of the tracks, “Circus” and “My Father’s Eyes,” were not included in the final broadcast.
