“I want to live, I want to give.” Those Neil Young lyrics could serve as the mission statement for Sweet Relief, a charity that raises money for musicians in need who are living without health insurance. The organization has put out three high profile albums for that purpose — a 1993 Victoria Williams tribute album, a 1996 Vic Chesnutt tribute, and the latest, Pennies From Heaven, which features cover songs from artists like Ben Harper, She & Him and Jackson Browne.

On Pennies From Heaven, Canadian singer-songwriter Geneviéve Toupin shares her piano rendition of Young’s enduring classic “Heart Of Gold.”

“It’s such an honor to be a part of this project,” Toupin says. “I loved working with [producer] Sheldon Gomberg and I’m happy to be able to support the Sweet Relief fund and help out fellow musicians in need.”
