We love getting impromptu visits from the neighbors, especially when they’re as talented as Drew Holcomb. The Nashville-based singer-songwriter, known for his smokey voice and plaintive lyrics, joined us on the roof one overcast day to perform “Can’t Take It With You.” The song, from 2013’s Good Light, was inspired by the Cormac McCarthy play The Sunset Limited — or at least, the movie version, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones as the characters Black and White. But don’t bother renting it, just listen to the song.
