Somebody with a lot of cash has just paid two million dollars to own the original lyrics to Bob Dylan’s famous 1965 composition “Like A Rolling Stone.”

An unidentified bidder (let’s call him Mr. Jones) picked up the four sheets of hotel stationary in an auction at Sotheby’s today.

The coveted pages were written on stationary from the Roger Smith Hotel in Washington D.C., and feature Dylan’s handwritten lyrics in pencil, along with doodles, stray thoughts an unused lyrics ( “dry vermouth/You’ll tell the truth,” “it feels real,” “does it feel real,” “get down and kneel,” “raw deal” and “shut up and deal.”)
