ARTIST: Leah Nobel

SONG: ‘Ride The Butterfly’

BIRTHDATE: 2/21/89

HOMETOWN: Phoenix, Arizona

CURRENT LOCATION: Austin, Texas

AMBITIONS: To make a living doing the creative work that I love. Specifically songwriting. However, I also dream of doing voice work for cartoons, and running a volunteer program for musicians to perform for the elderly.

TURN-OFFS: Negativity, bragging, complainers, weak handshakes, stinky breathe.

TURN-ONS: Confidence, Kindness, Good conversation, a sense of humor, nice hands.

DREAM GIG: ELLEN! And… The Ryman would be incredible. A girl can dream.

FAVORITE LYRIC: “I really just want to be warm  yellow light that pours over everyone that I love”- Conor Oberst

CRAZIEST PERSON I KNOW: I don’t really know that many crazy people. They exhaust me so I try to stay away.

SONG I WISH I WROTE: “These Words”- Jill Andrews

5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: My Grandmother Chloe (She died before I was born), Rumi, Jim Gaffigan, Malala Yousafzai, and… Beyonce.

MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE: I prefer quiet, intimate venues over big arenas. I saw Alexi Murdoch play at the old Antones in Austin back in 2011 and it was so moving that I was fighting back tears the whole time.
