I WROTE THIS SONG: Truth was the catalyst for my new album Heart Tells Your Head. In 2011 I was a contestant on American Idol. While it was a great experience, it initiated a tough season in my life in which I was placing too much emphasis and self-worth in what other people were saying about me and my music. I finally came to a place of desperation and submitted all of these things to God through writing this song. Hopefully the emotion comes through thick in this song when you listen.
