Bruce Springsteen has given us the latest taste of outtakes from the upcoming reissue of his 1980 album The River, out Dec. 4.

“The Party Lights” is an upbeat, three-minute rocker about settling down and missing the good times of your youth. The song is accompanied by a lyric video featuring archived photos from the era.

The Ties That Bind: The River Collection features 52 tracks across four CDs, including the original double album and two discs of outtakes and rarities. One of the outtakes discs is comprised of 10 tens tracks known as The River: Single Album. This is the original version of the project Springsteen recorded, but ultimately decided to not release until now. The reissue will also include a live concert film from 1980 and a documentary, which you can watch in advance on HBO starting Friday.
