Bob Dylan Announces Summer Tour, New Album

Bob Dylan -2016-Mavis Staples

Videos by American Songwriter

Bob Dylan will hit the road once again this summer, this time with the support of soul/gospel artist Mavis Staples.

In addition to the new tour dates, Dylan will release his forthcoming album, Fallen Angels, on May 20, four days before the legendary songwriter’s 75th birthday. Shadows of the Night engineer Al Schmitt told Billboard last month that Dylan was working on another album of covers, although it’s unclear if the cuts are covers of Frank Sinatra recordings, as with Shadows.

As previously announced, Dylan is set to tour Japan this spring before returning for his U.S. dates, which includes several stops in California and the northeast.

According to Dylan’s website, concert-goers will receive a CD redemption code for every pair of tickets purchased.
