Still Rock Island
To make a living playing the songs I write
When people need to rely on alcohol or drugs to be nice
Coffee and humble people.
Opening for Leon Bridges at a small listening room in front of 40 people.
“Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t what what you’ve got ’til it’s gone…”
SONG I WISH I WROTE:
“Bohemian Rhapsody” – Queen
5 PEOPLE I’D MOST LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH:
Martin Luther King Jr.
MY FAVORITE CONCERT EXPERIENCE:
Last weekend at Plymouth Coffee Bean in Plymouth, MI. Intimate room, great art on the wall, my wife was there, satin curtain on back of stage, played between two great acts, sold fifteen CDs, and the sound guy stayed on the board and added reverb when it sounded good. Best show I can remember in a while.
I WROTE THIS SONG BECAUSE…
I wrote this song as a thank you to those who have shown love to me. It is inspired by an old hymn I grew up singing in church titled “Love Lifted Me”.
