About the artist: New Jersey-born singer-songwriter Nicole Atkins, who recently co-wrote a song with Chris Isaak that appears in an upcoming episode of the Cameron Crowe-directed Showtime television series Roadies.

About the song:
“Chris Isaak and I wrote ‘A Little Crazy’ in a day,” Atkins says. “The idea was to channel Roy Orbison, and that desperate feeling you have when bad love becomes obsession.”

Nicole is currently recording her fourth studio album, which will contain a studio version of “A Little Bit Crazy”.

About Roadies:
“A couple years ago Cameron Crowe asked me to audition for a role on the show which I did via Skype while on tour. I didn’t get the part, but he said that he was gonna figure out some way I could be on the show. The show began airing and I never got a call so I figured it wasn’t gonna happen. But a couple months ago I played a show in Atlanta and when i was leaving I saw a Roadies poster on the wall and tweeted Cameron, saying, “Your show is sponsoring mine tonight.” He immediately wrote back and asked if I could be in L.A. the next week to perform on the finale episode. A week later, my guitarist friend Scott Metzger and I flew to LA. I had the flu and no voice, but when it came time to shoot, the energy on set was so incredible my voice came back! It was one of the most surreal and fun experiences of my life. We shot the final scene of the whole season and Cameron said, ‘It’s as if this whole experience has been leading up to this final moment with you.'”

Listen to the song below, and be sure to tune in to Showtime to catch Nicole’s performance.
