Watch Chuck Berry’s First-Ever Music Video

Videos by American Songwriter

In advance of the June 9 release of CHUCK, a new music video for Chuck Berry’s song “Big Boys” is now available. The clip is the late musician’s first official music video and premiered this morning at NPR Music. It depicts a raucous, retro sock-hop, with direction from Matt Bizer and Curtis Wayne Millard and choreography from Jeremy Green.

Berry passed away at the age of 90 in March. CHUCK, releasing via Dualtone, follows the iconic rocker’s most recent studio release, 1979’s Rock It. Berry wrote eight of the album’s 10 new songs. Gary Clark Jr., Tom Morello, Nathaniel Rateliff and Charles Berry III all guest on the album.
