Elvis Costello Revives Spectacular Spinning Songbook For Revolver Tour

Carnies, come hither. Game show enthusiasts, draw your ears. Elvis Costello and The Imposters have just announced “The Revolver Tour.”

Starting in May of this year, Costello, Steve Nieve (keyboards), Pete Thomas (drums), and Davey Faragher (bass) will be beginning their tour in Reno, Nevada with the main attraction being the the Spectacular Spinning Songbook.

During each show, audience members may be invited on stage to spin the wheel, which includes 40 song titles of old hits, new hits, unexpected covers, and rarities. Costello last used the Songbook gimmick 25 years ago.

“The Revolver Tour” includes stops at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on May 11, and two nights at New York’s Beacon Theatre on May 22 & 23. Stop in to get your carnival/game show itch satisfied. Oh, and Elvis Costello will be there.
