On July 31st, Legacy Recordings will release I Am An Elvis Fan. Back in May, Legacy and Elvis Presley Enterprises launched the I Am An Elvis Fan campaign, asking Elvis lovers to help compile the first-ever U.S fan-voted album by Elvis Presley.
250,000 votes were cast in twenty different countries, and the top-voted songs make up this 21-track collection, which will be available digitally and physically via RCA/Legacy. Fans voted at www.iamanelvisfan.com for their top three Elvis songs in seven different genres: ‘50s, ‘60s, Country, Movies, Love Songs, Gospel, and In Concert. They also got to upload a photo of themselves to be used in an Elvis photo mosaic on the the album cover.
The album’s release sets up “Elvis Week,” a celebration in Memphis, TN from August 10-17 commemorating the 35th anniversary of Presley’s passing.
