Levon Helm Studios’ Keep It Goin’ Fundraiser Raises Money For Ramble Barn

Videos by American Songwriter

A fundraiser launched by Levon Helm Studios to save the New York property where Helm lived and held the Midnight Ramble has raised over 60,000 dollars since it’s launch earlier in the year, it was announced today.

The Keep It Goin’ fundraiser still needs your support to reach its goal; those who donate money will receive an Mp3 of Helm performing “Drown In My Own Tears” with the Midnight Ramble band, and a “Keep It Going” t-shirt.

In a e-mail statement, Levon Helm Studios writes:

From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for your kindness, support and loyalty. Your commitment to keep Levon’s legacy alive is as intense and genuine as ours is.

In these rough economic times we understand that any contribution is a bigger sacrifice than it might have been a year or two ago. We appreciate that you’re all making these sacrifices. As you all know, Levon was always first in line when someone needed help. We know, firsthand, financial challenges and that’s why your participation in this fund raising effort is appreciated.

The Ramble has announced four events in August. Lucinda Williams, Corky Laing and Mike and Ruthy will be the special guests. Tickets are currently on sale at LevonHelm.com.
