Song Premiere: Roto’s Magic Act, “Chronically”

The Artist:  Neo-classic rockers Roto’s Magic Act, the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist James Rotondi.
The Song: “Chronically,” from the band’s debut album Into The Unknown, out May 13.
Fun Fact: Rotondi is a former member of Mr. Bungle and the French electro-pop band Air. He’s also a contributor to Bob Schneider’s song circle, a group of songwriters who challenge each other to churn out new music on a weekly basis. Other members include Matt Nathanson, Jason Mraz and Ari Hest.
Songwriter Says: “Chronically” is a guilty plea — an admission of my own imperfections, fears, and anxieties — and an appeal for steady, unwavering love (and a little wiggle room) despite all that messy stuff. After all, as I hope the bridge explains, there’s the dream of a hopeless romantic hanging in the balance, and we do want to do right by our hopeless romantics, don’t we?”
