The Artist: Portland-based folk duo Shook Twins
The Song: “Thoughts All In,” from their latest album What We Do out April 8th.
Fun Fact: They raised over $26,000 on Kickstarter to fund the album and record it with producer Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers). Fantasy writer Neil Gaiman is a huge fan.
Songwriter Says: “This song fell out of the sky after we all survived our supposed extinction on December 21, 2012. That night, our family and friends gathered around an epic fire that ‘burned from the top to the bottom down.’ We threw our thoughts of the ideal possible future and being better humans in it and they become ashes for new growth. ‘Tis a love song for the world and for someone special. It’s written by Katelyn Shook. We are so pumped to release our new album and bring it with us as we play it live on our West Coast album release tour this month! It’s ‘What We Do!'”
