Last year, Austin singer-songwriter Whitney Rose got a lot of attention for her acclaimed album Heartbreaker of the Year. Now, she’s back with her first new music since, the defiant new tune “My Boots.” Rose recorded the song in Austin with a crack band that featured Redd Volkaert, who is known for playing with Merle Haggard, and Earl Poole Ball, who toured with Johnny Cash for twenty years.
