The Walkmen’s Walter Martin showed off his chops in 2014 in an unlikely way: with the release of a children’s album, We’re All Young Together.

After the success of his 2014 work, Martin is releasing another children’s record, due out May 5, called My Kinda Music. In anticipation of his latest work, Martin released a single from the record, “Hey Matt,” featuring Matt Berninger of the National.

The track offers a cheery, jazz-infused vocal lesson between Berninger and Martin. The quirky tune is an easy sing-along that young musical prodigies can repeat in tune with the duo.

“I’ll never forget being a kid listening to Garrison Keillor’s Lake Wobegon Days on long family car trips. I’d be lying in the nauseating back seat of our minivan transfixed by the warmth and humor of his stories. And up in the front my parents would be experiencing the exact same thing. My goal with this album is to induce that same kind of wonderful family hypnosis,” Walker said in a statement about the record.

Following We’re All Young TogetherMartin released another solo album, Arts & Leisure, in 2015, which earned praise from the likes of the New York Times and the Washington Post.
