The Folk Alliance International Conference is going down this week in Kansas City, Missouri. One of the great things about the conference is the “private showcase” portion of the event. After the official showcases (which take place in various conference rooms) have ended for the night, three floors of the Westin hotel become late-night concert spaces, and each room on those three floors become mini-venues, with the music continuing into the wee hours of the morning.
