The 1980s produced numerous one-hit wonders. Though many hits emerged, few artists sustained enduring careers or multiple chart-toppers. Here are four memorable examples.

"Pass The Dutchie" by Musical Youth:This 1982 reggae-pop track hit no. 1 in several countries and no. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band split in 1985.
"Puttin’ On The Ritz" by Taco:Taco's 1982 synth-pop rendition of this old song reached no. 4 on the Hot 100. He had no other international hits.
"Too Shy" by Kajagoogoo:In 1983, Kajagoogoo’s debut single reached no. 5 on the Hot 100. Subsequent albums did not achieve similar success.
