The M20E is a 24-3/4″ scale length guitar that allows for portability and greater playability for anyone with smaller hands. Shorter players can easily wrap their arms around this low-profile, rich-wood beauty with ease. However, even tall guys like me with large hands will totally enjoy playing this guitar. It features a gorgeous mahogany neck and body with a mother of pearl headstock logo and position inlays. I have played other smaller scale guitars in my day, but none with more charm than this one. Its expert construction gives it both a truly beautiful tone and the good looks to make it road-worthy, especially if you are seeking an affordable guitar that fits your smaller hand size.

Ideal for a record label showcase or to take coffee shop gigging, Guild has equipped the M20E with a Fishman Acoustic Matrix Natural pickup. Although I firmly believe in using a good microphone to capture the unique characteristics of an acoustic guitar, I think that even the most discriminating player will be happy with the way this petite gem sounds when plugged into an amp. It isn’t tinny sounding like many of pickups you might find in this affordable price range.

Another perk is the deluxe hardshell case. The allure of its green tweed exterior and the luxurious look of brown leather trim and white whip-stitch threading make it an instant classic. I almost swear it was sent here via time machine from the 1940s. If you are looking for an affordable portable guitar with great tone and a whole lot of character the Guild M20E will undoubtedly scratch that itch.
