American Songwriter Magazine: Issue Volume 31 No. 3.

In our cover story, Lucinda Williams weighs in on the writing of her twelfth album, The Ghosts of Highway 20. The forthcoming release is something of a concept record, with twelve of the fourteen tracks inspired by her travels and experiences along Interstate 20 between Texas and Georgia. We also check in with Boston native Aoife O’Donovan, who recently released her sophomore album, as well as Lera Lynn, a singer-songwriter from Texas who rose to prominence with a guest turn on True Detective‘s Season 2. Also, Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers pays tribute to the songwriting prowess of David Bowie.
