The Iconic Career Of Jason Aldean In 9 Photos

After watching the CMT Music Awards on TV at age 14, Jason Aldean decided to become a stage performing country musician.

In early 2005, Aldean's first single ,"Hicktown", released, debuting at #10 on the Billboard Hot Country Charts.     

From the same album as "Hicktown" comes "Why", which became Aldean's first of many chart topping country hits. 

In 2008, Aldean released his seventh single, "She's Country", which debuted at No. 51 on the Hot Country Songs chart, eventually making it all the way to No. 1. 

In 2011, the now world famous country star collaborated with rapper Ludacris, playing Aldean's "My Kinda Party" together at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville.      

In 2013,  Aldean filed for divorce from his wife Jessica Ussery and later married American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr (shown in photo).

In 2017, Aldean was performing "When She Says Baby" at the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas when a shooter began firing into the crowd, killing 60.

In 2019, Aldean performed at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum Concert and Induction Ceremony. 

In 2023, Aldean released "Try That In A Small Town," a controversial yet successful song, ascending all the way to No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
