Robert Plant, the lead singer of the band Led Zeppelin, cherished his time with them but also had a huge passion for Football, especially for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
In an interview with Empire Magazine Plant recalled the time when he used to sneak out sometimes and watch football matches.
He described the stadium had the electric atmosphere of the South Bank, with cigarette smoke hanging in the air and passionate chants echoing throughout.
Plant’s passion for Wolverhampton Wanderers was so strong that he had to fake his illness to leave the rehearsals and watch night games.
But there was this one time when this fake illness turned into reality and Robert Plant had an accident that paused Led Zeppelin’s activity for months.
With the help of the football players of that time Willie Carr and John McAlle supporting him with physiotherapies, Plant eventually made it back to the stage.
Check out how the football players of that time Willie Carr and John McAlle were convinced to help Robert Plan in his recovery.
