The new documentary Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will get its world premiere this Sunday, September 8, at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival, and we now know when the movie will make its television debut. According to a new post on Bruce Springsteen’s socials, Road Diary will premiere on the Hulu and Disney+ streaming services on October 25.

The post features a short video of The Boss sharing some details about the film.
“Hello! Our new film Road Diary will take you on a journey, from behind the scenes at rehearsals to shows that we performed all around the world this year,” Springsteen says in the clip. “You’ll get to experience a little bit of the fun and the magic that we get to experience every night.” The promo also offers a brief glimpse of Bruce onstage at one of his recent shows.
The video is accompanied by a note that reads, “Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band follows @springsteen and the band through their one-of-a-kind preparation process and onto performances for tens-of-thousands across continents.”

The film, which focuses on Bruce and the E Street Band’s 2023-2024 world tour, features behind-the-scenes clips at rehearsals and backstage, as well as performance footage. The movie, which is narrated by Springsteen, also includes interviews with The E Street Band’s members and rare archival clips.
Road Diary was directed by frequent Springsteen collaborator, Grammy- and Emmy-winning filmmaker Thom Zimny. Zimny’s resume includes such other Boss-related documentaries as Bruce Springsteen’s Letter to You (2020), Western Stars (2019), Springsteen on Broadway (2018), The Ties That Bind (2015), and The Promise: The Making of Darkness on the Edge of Town (2010).
About Springsteen’s Upcoming Tour Plans
Springsteen and the E Street Band have three shows left on the current U.S. leg of their 2024 world tour. The concerts are scheduled for September 7 in Washington, D.C.; September 13 in Baltimore; and September 15 at the Sea.Hear.Now festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
