- How do I unsubscribe from your mailing list?
- We’re sorry to see you go! At the bottom of each email is an unsubscribe option. Please select it and unsubscribe. Please note that we have multiple email lists, so if you are still receiving emails please send a note to info@americansongwriter.com and we will assist you.

- How do I check the status of my membership?

- How do I submit my lyrics for the Lyric Review?
- This feature is only available for Master and Legend members.
- In the Membership Hub, go to the “Lyric Review”.
- Complete the form to submit your lyrics.
- When will I receive my first issue?
- American Songwriter Magazine is bi-monthly. We send the list of recipients to our printer on the 1st of every other month.
- You can always read any issue of American Songwriter Magazine in the Membership Hub
- How do I change my street address?
- Go to the membership tab in the menu and sign into your account. A menu will appear on the left side of the screen with a “Addresses” option. This is where you can update your shipping and billing addresses.
- How does my membership renewal work?
- The memberships automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. You can manage your membership status on your account profile, which can be found under the membership tab on our homepage. If you have already paid for the year, then your access will continue until the date you were set to renew. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Lyric Contest
- Do you have a guide for Lyric Contest Submission best practices?
- Is the contest international?
- Yes we allow entries from anywhere across the globe.
- Did you get my submission to the Lyric Contest?
- If you went to the Lyric Contest Page and successfully completed all the steps to submit the form then yes we did!
- Am I going to get feedback on my lyrics?
- Due to the volume of submissions, we are unable to provide individual feedback on each lyric submission. If you are concerned about whether or not we received your submission, you can email info@americaonsongwriter.com to check on the status of your submission.
- If you are interested in receiving a Lyric Review, this service is available to our Master and Legend Members. Please go to the Membership page to learn more.
- Can I submit a lyric that was co-written to the lyric contest?
- Yes! Please be sure to credit your co-writer during the submission process.
- Do I have to submit a recording of the lyric, or just the text?
- For the lyric contest submission, we only require the text of the lyrics.
- Do you own my lyrics if I submit to the contest?
- Absolutely not! American Songwriter does not claim any rights whatsoever to the material submitted to our contest.
- Do submission to the contest need to be in English?
- Yes – all of our judges are predominantly English speaking.
- I submitted a lyric but never got a confirmation email. What’s going on?
- Our emails might get lost in your spam/promotions folders. Please check there to start.

- No, the song does not have to be professionally recorded. For more information of the review process, see Song Contest Terms and Conditions.
- Do you own rights to the songs submitted to the contest?
- Absolutely not! American Songwriter does not claim any rights whatsoever to the material submitted to our contest.
- Do submission to the contest need to be in English?
- No. We accept song submission in any language.
