Although going through some turbulent times over the years, Iron Maiden continued to expand their grasp on heavy metal. Selling over 130 million albums, the band also performed over 2,500 live concerts. First formed in 1975 by songwriter Steve Harris, 2025 marked five decades of the band. And wanting to celebrate the band’s legacy, singer Bruce Dickinson promised fans a “setlist for the ages” when he discussed the upcoming Run For Your Lives World Tour.

Excited to hit the road once again, Dickinson and Iron Maiden will spend 2025 and 2026 on the road. With numerous concerts already on the schedule, the singer shared a video on Instagram, teasing fans on what they should expect. “We are pushing the boat out with this tour. Not that I need to tell anybody because basically the tour has sold out already.” He added, “So for those of you who have bought tickets – which is, like, all of you – it’s gonna be really, really cool. I’m really looking forward to it. We’re going to be doing stuff we’ve never, ever done before, and it’ll be a setlist for the ages.”
As for the tour taking two years, Dickinson explained how Iron Maiden needed two years to hit all the places the band wanted to visit. “So I’ll see you there. And it’s not gonna stop in 2025. It’s gonna roll into 2026, because there’s parts of the world that we need to get to that we can’t get to in 2025. So there you go.”
