Garage rocker Ty Segall is out with a new video for “Californian Hills,” a track off of his Januaryย album, Emotional Mugger. Backed by his band The Muggers, Segall presents a brightly animated and nightmarishly trippy depictionย of a birthday party and other exploits.
Emotional Mugger has garnered significant praise for Segall, including from American Songwriter: “Whatโs remarkable about Emotional Mugger is how fresh, even interesting it all sounds coming from a performer with an already weighty catalog, in a genre where loud guitars is nothing terribly new.”
