With New Year’s Eve just a few days away, many reflected on the last twelve months as they set new goals heading into 2025. Although wanting to make the most of the year, there seemed no better way to celebrate the new year than with great music, fireworks, and Carrie Underwood. While there are countless celebrations taking place on New Year’s Eve, Ryan Seacrest will take to the streets of New York as he hosts Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. Taking over Times Square, here are all the details surrounding the event including where to watch and who is performing.

Airing on December 31st, Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will kick off at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Outside of Seacrest hosting the event, he will work alongside co-host Rita Ora. Having hosted the event over the past two decades, Seacrest posted a video on Instagram showing his contributions to the event over the years. Captioning the post, Seacrest wrote, “20 years of countdowns, confetti, and a trusty mic. Here’s to the memories we’ve made and many more. See you in Times Square in just a few days!”
Looking past the hosting duties, the night also teased an amazing lineup of performers. With Times Square the place to be on New Year’s Eve, the event welcomed singers like Cody Johnson, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Alanis Morisette, Lenny Kravitz, T-Pain, Teddy Swims, the Jonas Brothers, and even TLC.
Carrie Underwood Returns To ABC Thanks To ‘American Idol’
Although wanting to enjoy celebrating the new year in New York City, the Jonas Brothers will offer fans a few hits from their past with the Disney Channel. And for TLC, the new year marked the 30th anniversary of their second studio album, Crazysexycool. As for Underwood, she performed during the event a few times over the years. But this year was special for the singer as she returned to ABC thanks to American Idol. With Katy Perry leaving the show, the producers brought in Carrie Underwood who won the fourth season of the hit show.
