The ALTer EGO concert by iHeartRadio is returning in 2024 with a lineup of both classic and emerging alternative artists including Paramore, The Black Keys, lovelytheband, and The Last Dinner Party.

This will be ALTer EGO’s seventh annual concert, taking place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on January 13, 2024. The full lineup also features Thirty Seconds to Mars, The 1975, Sum 41, Yellowcard, and Bush.
Woody of iHeartRadio ALT 98.7’s The Woody Show will serve as emcee at the concert. “Another year, another dope lineup, and another stunning display of misplaced confidence by the people running this company asking me to host such an event,” he said in a statement. “My team and I can’t wait to get out there and pretend like we know what we’re doing.”
Lisa Worden, program director for ALT 98.7 and Vice President of rock and alternative for iHeartMedia, added: “We can’t think of a better way to start the new year than with our seventh annual iHeartRadio ALTer Ego.”
She continued, “Representing all genres across alternative and rock we bring together the hottest artists for one incredible night. We’re beyond thrilled to bring the show to the Honda Center for the first time! We’re excited and thankful for all these artists to come together on January 13th for a beautiful night.”
The concert is presented by Capital One, and there will be a 48-hour Capital One cardholder presale on October 24 at 10 a.m. PT, ending on October 26 at 10 a.m. PT. General sales will begin on October 27 at noon PT through Ticketmaster.
A handful of the bands performing have had album or single releases this year, such as Paramore with This is Why from February, and Thirty Seconds to Mars with It’s the End of the World But It’s a Beautiful Day from September.
Additionally, The Last Dinner Party recently released a new single, adding to their complete set list of two others. The fledgling band released “Nothing Matters” in April, “Sinner” in June, and “My Lady of Mercy” in October. They embarked on a 10-date U.K. tour in October, where they’re getting plenty of opportunities to try out new music for their blooming fanbase.
