The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has yet to officially induct its Class of 2024, but the hallowed institution already is gauging which other artists fans would like see receive the honor.

Visitors to the Rock Hall in Cleveland are given the opportunity to pick who they’d like to see inducted at the “Voice Your Choice” voting kiosk. On August 30, the Future Rock Legends website posted a recent photo of the standings at the kiosk on its X page. The pic shows that heavy-metal legends Iron Maiden were leading the fan vote with 1,037 votes, followed by alt-rockers Blink-182 in second place with 870 votes and classic-rock veterans Styx in third with 867 votes.
Rounding out the list’s top five are beloved parody artist “Weird Al” Yankovic and Mötley Crüe. The rest of the tally’s top 10 acts are Weezer (No. 6), Boston (No. 7), Pink (No. 8), Snoop Dogg (No. 9), and Linkin Park (No. 10). More than 40,000 total votes have been cast so far at the kiosk.
The Future Rock Legends site points out that the poll’s results generally are shared at the meeting of the Rock Hall’s nominating committee to keep the committee informed about fans’ opinions. The poll doesn’t necessarily have an impact on who makes the ballot of nominees.
It likely will be several more months before the Class of 2025 nominees are announced. This year’s nominees were unveiled in February. The 2024 inductees were revealed on an April 21 episode of ABC’s American Idol.
The 2024 Rock Hall Inductees
As previously reported, the 2024 Rock Hall ceremony will be held at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland on October 19. The artists who will be inducted this year in the Performer category are Ozzy Osbourne, Peter Frampton, Foreigner, Dave Matthews Band, Kool & the Gang, Mary J. Blige, Cher, and A Tribe Called Quest.
Also being honored with induction in other categories at the 2024 ceremony are Jimmy Buffett, the MC5, Dionne Warwick, John Mayall, Norman Whitfield, Alexis Korner, Big Mama Thornton, and Suzanne de Passe.
As with last year’s ceremony, the 2024 event will be streamed live on Disney+. A highlights special will air on ABC at a later date, and will be available on Hulu the next day.
