John Mellencamp has unveiled plans to hit the road again next year for a new U.S. leg of his Live and In Person Tour.

The trek, which will feature the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer visiting 27 cities for “one night only” performances, is scheduled to kick off on March 8 in Rochester, New York, and run through an April 22 concert in Savannah, Georgia.

Tickets for the newly announced dates will go on sale to the general public this Friday (November 3), at 10 a.m. local time. Presale tickets will be available starting October 31 for those who register now at Mellencamp.com, and VIP packages also will go on sale that day. Mellencamp launched his Live and In Person tour last year, with the trek featuring more than 75 dates and running from February until late June. Like the 2023 edition of the tour, the new outing will feature Mellencamp performing songs from throughout his long career, including one or more selections from his latest studio album, Orpheus Descending.
Released this past June, Orpheus Descending was the 72-year-old singer/songwriter’s 25 studio effort. The 11-track collection included 11 Mellencamp originals, plus one song penned by Bruce Springsteen called “Perfect World.”
In other news, earlier this month, Mellencamp paid a visit to the First African Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia, where he performed two songs, local newspaper The Island Packet reports. According to the paper, Mellencamp said he made the trip from his home on nearby Daufuskie Island by boat to Savannah to play at the church because “I want to.”
Mellencamp’s connection to the historic Black church dates back to 2009, when he spent time there writing and recording a few songs for his 2010 album, No Better Than This. According to a female congregation member who says she has become good friends with Mellencamp, he was baptized at the church during his stay there and has been welcomed as a member of the community ever since.
Prior to his visit to the Savannah church, Mellencamp’s most recent performance took place at the 2023 Farm Aid benefit concert, held September 23 in Noblesville, Indiana.
