One month after announcing the Oasis 2025 reunion tour, vocalist Liam Gallagher went back to his usual crowd-attacking antics following his performance at Wembley Stadium on September 21, 2024. The singer performed three Oasis cuts ahead of a match between Anthony Joshua v. Daniel Dubois.

Reactions to the short set were mixed, with many criticizing the vocal performance of Gallagher, who was also celebrating his 52nd birthday. It didn’t take long for the divisive frontman to share his thoughts on social media, proving that it’s his party and he can cuss at his critics if he wants to.
Liam Gallagher Slams Fake Fans
Just because the infamously feuding Gallagher brothers agreed to come together for an Oasis reunion doesn’t mean anyone really believed they would let up their usual antics, right? Liam Gallagher proved his attitude certainly hasn’t softened with age after he responded to critics of his September 2024 Wembley Stadium performance on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“To all those S***C***S who were crying about my ANGELIC TONES last night you ain’t real fans your just IMPOSTERS and if you do have tickets you wanna get rid off I’ll gladly take them off your hands we don’t want the likes of you at our concerts nxt year any way LF***ING,” Gallagher tweeted.
The online community’s responses were a mixed bag, with some praising Gallagher’s performance and his willingness to call out critics, while others reaffirmed their belief that the performance was awful. Others commented on the sheer absurdity of it all. “Really edifying stuff, Liam, thanks for sharing your thoughts today!” One user wrote. “Maybe just, I dunno, calm down a bit and have a cup of tea?”
This Response Was Run Of The Mill For The Singer, Honestly
Public relations catastrophes aside, Liam Gallagher’s stream-of-consciousness response to his critics is a hilarious example of the Oasis singer’s unwillingness to say anything but precisely what’s on his mind. From the rampant use of capitalization to his self-described “angelic tones,” Gallagher’s tweet perfectly exemplifies the attitude of a man who would describe himself as an “RNR STARGODLIKE RASTA ICON” on his X profile.
In honor of Gallagher’s not-so-well-received performance at Wembley, we couldn’t help but revisit his memorable behavior on stage at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards. Sporting the same “I couldn’t care less” attitude and a massive chip on his shoulder, Gallagher’s late ‘90s performance wasn’t that far off from his 2024 set. (Except for the latter performance, he kindly refrained from spitting beer all over the stage and slapping the microphone stand on the ground—should we call that character development?)
Of course, profane crowd work and Oasis goes together like…cigarettes and alcohol? Sorry, we had to. We suspect this is hardly the last time we’ll be hearing about Liam Gallagher’s laughably outrageous behavior on- and off-stage. Only time will tell what antics attendees have waiting for them on the 2025 reunion tour. For all of our sakes, let’s hope the Gallaghers manage to control their emotions better than Jane’s Addiction.
Regardless, we are so here for an Oasis reunion.
