When sent though a D.I. box, acoustic instruments tend to have a tonal quality that doesn’t always best represent the resonance and timbre they’re capable of producing. While the L.R. Baggs Venue D.I. isn’t the magic box that breaks that model, it does afford the user with the most options: easy-to-use tuner, signal booster, and EQ, as well as an effects send and return. The Venue is an active D.I. box, which means it requires a nine-volt battery or wall plug (not included). It’s housed in a sturdy casing with an attractive finish.
