Joel Celebrates Daughter Della Rose’s Birthday

Meanwhile, the 75-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer took to his social media sites on Monday, August 12, to celebrate the ninth birthday of his daughter Della Rose. Joel posted a series of photos of his daughter, including pics of her riding a horse, sitting on a replica of a vintage fire truck, and feeding goats.

The photos are accompanied by a note that reads, “Happy 9th Birthday, Della Rose. Watching you grow and shine, keeps us all in awe. We love you.”

More About Joel’s Final Residency Show

Joel’s monthly residency at Madison Square Garden ran for more than 10 years. The July 25 concert was the Piano Man’s 150th show he played at the famed arena during his career.

The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon hit the stage to announce that a new banner marking Joel’s record number of concerts at the venue was being raised to the rafters during the show.

The event also featured a guest appearance by Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose. Rose sang three songs with Joel and his band—Paul McCartney and Wings’ “Live and Let Die,” AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell,” and, during the show’s final, Billy’s own “You May Be Right.”

For a limited time, the entire concert is being streamed on SiriusXM’s The Billy Joel Channel.

Joel’s Other Upcoming Concerts

Since ending his MSG residency, Joel has played one other concert, on August 9 in Cardiff, Wales.

Besides the Hollywood, Florida, gig, Billy has five other shows lined up for 2024. They include a joint concert with Rod Stewart on September 13 in Cleveland, and a headlining performance on October 12 in Inglewood, California. Joel also has three co-headlining dates with Sting: on September 27 in St. Louis, October 25 in San Antonio, and November 9 in Las Vegas.
