Bruce Springsteen Speaks on the Importance of Live Shows

During the trailer for the documentary, Bruce Springsteen reveals why playing live is so important for him. “Since I was 16, playing live has been a deep and lasting part of who I am and how I justify my existence here on earth,” he explains in a voiceover. As a result, losing the ability to play live during the pandemic weighed heavily on the Boss. “When the world shut down, I made a promise that if we got through this, I’d throw the biggest party I could,” he said.
