Oscars Announce 2022 Shortlists, Including Best Original Song and Score

The 94th Academy Awards has announced 10 different shortlists for the upcoming 2022 ceremony, including Best Original Song and Best Original Score. The show is set to air on March 27 on ABC.

Final voting will begin on January 27, 2022, concluding February 1, 2022, with the final nominations announced on February 8.

But check out the first round of shortlists below. Both composer Hans Zimmer and Radiohead member Jonny Greenwood are listed twice for Best Original Score. Greenwood received acknowledgments for Spencer and The Power of the Dog. Zimmer was listed for Dune and No Time to Die.

Music documentaries on the shortlist include Summer of Soul by Questlove, Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry by R.J. Cutler, and The Velvet Underground by Todd Haynes. Eilish also received a nod in Best Original Song for “No Time to Die.”
