Actor Owen Wilson is known for his laugh-out-loud movies, but the comedian got himself into a funny situation with the Rolling Stones. Wilson recently recounted the incident on James Corden’s late-night show, The Late Late Show.
The story goes: Wilson had been given an all-access pass during a Rolling Stones show. The band was one of his favorites and the first he’d seen live as a kid in 1980. But things went awry and Wilson lost the pass.

โI went to see the Rolling Stones in Argentina,โ said the actor, โand I was kinda friendly with some of the band, and my friend was really good friends with Mick Jagger. And we got these special laminates, kind of all-access, that were good for the rest of your life, that we got presented with.โ
But then he wondered how far the power of the badge could take him.
โโIโm gonna walk over here and see if anybody stops me,’โ he said to himself holding the golden ticket, of sorts. โAnd no one would stop me any place, and I ended up right at this place where I could look over and see Mick Jagger on the stage, right there.โ
Wilson continued, “And then all of a sudden, he bolts, during โJumpinโ Jack Flash,โ and comes running down, and it turns out where I was was part of the stage a little bit, so I just sort of froze and tried to be inconspicuousโฆ And then someone came running over, [screaming], โGet out of here! Move! Youโre not supposed to be here!’โ
He added, โI go to bed that night still thinking, โOh my gosh, that was kind of a gnarly experience.โ And then I get a call the next morning from Mickโs security team: โDo you have that laminate?โ โYes, I still have it.โ โOkay, weโre gonna come over and pick it up.’โ
Wilson, who was wearing all white and thus very visible, said he understood.”I get it. He has a show to do, he doesnโt need some bozo just cruising around, distracting him.โ
