Then, on November 17, new vinyl and cassette configurations of the album will be released via various retailers and other outlets, and an updated digital version will also be available.

Pearl Jam’s Ten Club is offering an orange-and-white-swirl two-LP version of the album and a clear cassette edition. Target is selling a one-LP clear-vinyl version of the disc in the U.S., and that version will also be available outside of the country. In addition, a two-LP set pressed on standard black vinyl will be sold by various retailers. You can pre-order various new versions of Vs. here.

Released on October 5, 1993, Vs. followed Pearl Jam’s breakthrough 1991 debut album Ten, and went on to become the band’s first record to top the Billboard 200, spending five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the chart that fall.

Vs. featured five high-charting singles on Billboard’s mainstream rock tally—“Go,” “Animal,” “Dissident,” and the chart-topping “Daughter.”

To date, Vs. has been certified seven times platinum by the RIAA for album equivalent sales of more than 7 million in the U.S. alone, while “Daughter” recently was certified platinum.

Vs. marked the beginning of Pearl Jam’s longtime collaboration with Brendan O’Brien, who has gone on to produce or co-produce most of the band’s subsequent studio efforts.

In other news, the recent 10th anniversary of their 10th studio album, Lightning Bolt, will be celebrated by releasing an Atmos Spatial Audio Mix of that record on October 20.

Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready revealed in an interview with Guitar World last month that the band was “just about finished” with a follow-up to the group’s 2020 album Gigaton, noting that the group was working on the new album with producer Andrew Watt.

“I think there’s a few tweaks here and there that have to happen and we’re probably not going to have anything out this year,” McCready reported. “But Andrew Watt brought an energy and a youthfulness and a great ear to us that I think we needed.”
